The Bengal is a new breed of exotic domestic cat, having only been
recognized as a breed in the early 1990's. Started by Jean Mill, from
Covina, California, this breed of cat is unique in that it has a wild ancestor, the Asian Leopard
Cat.

Asian Leopard Cats are small, wild cats found throughout Asia, many
species of which are in danger of extinction. By crossing the Asian
Leopard Cat "Felis Bengalensis" with a domestic cat, such as a Burmese,
Siamese, Tabby, or Egyptian Mau, and breeding Bengal to Bengal for several
generations, Jean Mill has given those of us who love the wild cats the
opportunity to have "Living Room Leopards"...beautiful, loving and completely
domesticated cats with the beauty of their wild leopard cat ancestor.
|
Since you are awared by the “big cats”, you owe it to yourself to
experience our “little Leopards”, a relatively new and very intriguing
breed of domestic cat which resembles a wild Leopard. Imagine having a
beautiful spotted and luxuriously coated Leopard with loving personality
in a size that is practical for your living room.
